This claim will pay $1 if, after a November 2000 general election for the presidency of the United States of America, at least 2 out of the 3 following sources report that, based on election returns, Al Gore is expected to win the electoral college vote for that election. It will pay $0 otherwise, including the case that no November 2000 general presidential election is held in the US. For purposes of this claim, "Al Gore" is the person who is Vice President of the US as of 3/24/97.
The sources that will be used to judge this claim, which were omitted by accident from the claim text, are the paper or internet versions of the Washington Post, New York Times, and LA Times.
Due to the unexpected results of the November 2000 Presidential elections, I have decided to delay the judgement of this claim until ONE of the following conditions are met:
-1- Either Vice-President Gore or Governor Bush publicly concedes.
-2- The United States Congress accepts the Electoral College Vote.
-3- The United States Congress elects the President.
-4- The Speaker of the House or the President of the Senate Pro-Tem becomes the President.
