This claim pays 100 if Bush issues a PRESIDENTIAL pardon to I. Lewis Libby Jr., aka Scooter Libby.
Scooter Libby, the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, was convicted March 6, 2007, of lying to F.B.I. agents and grand jurors investigating the unmasking of a C.I.A. operative amid a burning dispute over the war in Iraq.
Mr. Libby will be sentenced on June 5, 2007. He is currently free on bail. He's expected to ask for a retrial and subsequently appeal the verdict.
If there is any ambiguity, I will judge this claim by the intent of the claim.
To clarify the intent of the claim: only a pardon for the offences for which Libby was convicted on 6 March 2007 will satisfy the claim. A pardon for any other offence will not count.
